General rule: fabric items wash cold and air dry best, rubber and silicone toys are top-rack dishwasher safe, and anything with electronics should only be wiped down. Check the label on the product itself before the first wash.

Measure before you order: chest girth and neck for harnesses and collars, nose-to-tail length plus a few inches for beds and crates, and your dog's weight for anything weight-rated. When in doubt, size up.
